(PRWEB) January 13, 2007 -- Chatterbean.com reports that quiz respondents think a beach house in Hawaii would make for the best family vacation in 2007. Caribbean or Mexico family cruise vacations ranked second among desired family vacation destinations. The cruise and Hawaiian beach house proved to be the most gender-safe vacation options. Chatterbean -- a response-driven Web site and authority on pop culture trends -- offers fun and quirky personality quizzes like "Are You a Slacker Mom?" (http://www.AreYouaSlackerMom.com).

When asked "What hot spot would make the best family vacation for 2007?" more than 38 percent of quiz respondents answered a "Beach house in Hawaii -- count on my ohana for a luau!" More than 80 percent of 16-20 year-old quiz respondents preferred the Hawaii family vacation or cruise to any other vacation option.

More than 61 million travelers visited Hawaii in 2006 alone according to the State of Hawaii's Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism. Also, among the top ten family resorts according to Travel and Leisure Magazine are the Hilton Waikoloa Village and the Four Seasons Resort Haulalai at Historic Kaupulehu, both on the Big Island.

Family cruise vacations also ranked highly among quiz respondents; about 33 percent expressed interest in a "Caribbean or Mexico cruise -- can you say Pi-na Co-la-da?" Family cruises or beach houses may be the best choice for a gender safe vacation as Chatterbean.com noted that a near equal percentage of men and women chose one or the other.

Disney vacations (14 percent), Lake Tahoe ski trips (8 percent), dude ranches (4 percent), and Washington DC (3 percent) family vacations also ranked among the 2007 hot spots in the Chatterbean.com quiz respectively. The demographic that most preferred a Disney family vacation were 25-34 year-old women.

Overall, men prefer the Lake Tahoe family vacation (15 percent) the most, and the Disney vacation (7 percent) the least. On the contrary, women preferred the Disney family vacation (18 percent) the most, as opposed to the Lake Tahoe family vacation (4 percent).

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas, all in Orlando, Fla., also rated on the Travel and Leisure's top ten family resorts list.
